Measurement of Radio Wave Transmission through Automotive Heat-Reflective Glass Using ETC/DSRC Tester

[Application Example] Easily measure the radio wave transmission of automotive heat-reflective glass.

With the ETC/DSRC tester (ME9100, ME9115CN), it is easy to measure the radio wave transmission of automotive heat-reflective glass. Since the antenna of the ETC/DSRC onboard unit is usually installed inside the vehicle, the automotive glass needs to allow radio waves for communication to pass through. Therefore, when developing special glass such as heat-reflective glass for automotive use, it is necessary to confirm whether the radio waves can pass through. 【Solution】 - Position the glass to be measured between the ME9100 and ME9115CN, which are facing each other at a distance of 1 meter. - Transmit radio waves from the ME9100 (frequency is approximately 5.8GHz). - Measure the electric field strength with the ME9115CN (measurement range is -35 to -80 dBmeirp). - By comparing the measured electric field strength values of glass that meets the criteria for seamless ETC/DSRC communication, confirm whether the radio waves can pass through. - The measured electric field strength data can be imported to a computer by connecting via a USB cable. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
